Joseph Krieg

Joseph V. Krieg, age 95, a resident of Waterford, formerly of Royal Oak, died August 25, 2011 at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford. He was born October 20, 1915 in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Krieg was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Detroit and the University of Detroit. He was the owner and operator of Krieg Brothers Catholic Supply House in Detroit. He is survived by his children, Jerry Betty Jane Krieg of Atlanta, GA, John Melanie Krieg of Washington, MI, James Lynn Krieg of Marietta, CA and Jeoffrey Pat Krieg of Durham, NC; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Krieg, in 1987; and his son, the late Joseph Krieg. The visitation will be Sunday 2-9 p.m. with an evening scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Krieg will lie in state Monday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
