Joseph Danaher

Joseph Owen Danaher, 85, a resident of Rochester Hills for 19 years, formerly of Royal Oak, died February 22, 2009 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills. He was born September 12, 1923 in Detroit. Mr. Danaher enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Danaher, whom he married on June 28, 1947 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada; children, Margaret Danaher of Madison Heights, Nancy Kleiner of Troy and Alan Sandra Danaher of Royal Oak; sister, Joan McRae; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. A scripture service will be held on Tuesday 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Danaher will lie in state at 10:30 a.m. until time of mass 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Hazel Park, with the Rev. Bede Louzon officiating.
