Jorge Briones

Jorge A. Briones G of Ferndale, MI and formerly of Royal Oak, MI, passed away peacefully at his home in Ferndale on May 24, 2013. Jorge was born in Portoviejo, Manabi, Ecuador on January 10, 1935. Beloved husband of Fabiola Briones, whom he married on July 19, 1958 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Loving father of Gina Tom Rushton of Royal Oak, MI, Jorge Briones of Swampscott, MA, Geovanny Briones of Ferndale, MI, Lucio Briones of Ferndale, MI, and Maria Briones of Madison, WI. Dear brother of Miguel, Atilio, Nelly, Patricia, Leonor, Abel, Ligia and Jose Vicente. Son of the late Miguel and Mercedes Briones. Proud grandfather of Jennifer Joshua Louwersheimer, Jason Christine Rushton, Jeffrey Rushton, Jessica Rushton, Jonathan Rushton, Anthony Briones, Christina Briones, Alexandra Larson, Amelina Larson and Jacob Larson. Proud great grandfather of Marijka and Joziah Louwersheimer. Jorge was a very loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was known for making everyone feel loved. He was also extremely sarcastic and always made everyone laugh. Visitation Monday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. In state Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of Mass 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Interment at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI.
