John Speer, Jr

John H. Speer, Jr., 77, of Oak Park, formerly of Lewiston for six years, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home. He was born April 5, 1931, in Rector, Arkansas. Mr. Speer retired from Consumers Power after 42 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his children, John H. Claudette Speer III of Oak Park and Jacquelyn Speer of Royal Oak; siblings, Bernice Wooten, Freeda Everett, Anna Louise Thompson, all of Rector, and Norman C. Speer of Kansas City, Kansas; and one grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Jesse C. Speer.
