John Schroff

John Schroff, age 85, a resident of Royal Oak, died November 3, 2011 at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak. He was born October 16, 1926 in Royal Oak. Mr. Schroff was a retired Captain of the Royal Oak Fire Department and a member of the Metropolitan Club. He is survived by his children, Paul Schroff, Karen Wolfe and Dawn Schroff-Sides; step-children, Robert Anderson, Thomas Anderson and April Williams; sisters, Mary Steiger and Barbara Dieson; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor Schroff, in 2004. The visitation will be Sunday 12-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Schroff will lie in state Monday 10 am until the time of service 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Jeremy Schultz officiating.
