John Mohritz Jr

John E. Mohritz Jr., age 82, of Rochester and formerly of Utica, died Sunday, 1, 2005, in Crittenton Hospital, Rochester Hills. He was born April 5, 1923, in Detroit. Mr. Mohritz was owner of Utica Insulation Company in Utica since 1957 and as building contractor, built many of the homes in Utica. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was a former member of the Utica Lions and loved hunting. His family said he will be missed by many who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Helen Mohritz; children: Dawn Ferguson, Dennis Patricia Mohritz, and Debi David Morgan; siblings, Kenneth Mohritz and Joyce Kraft; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, Utica; with Reverend Jason Sewell officiating. Burial will be in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Michigan. Visitation is Monday 4:00pm-9:00pm and Tuesday 1:00pm - 9:00pm.
