John Brady

Brady, John "Jack". Age 95. Mr. Brady was a resident of Royal Oak and formerly of Buffalo, NY. Died June 14, 2013 at his home. He was born June 21, 1917 in Buffalo to the late John and Margaret Brady. Mr. Brady was a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo and a Major in the United States Army. He worked for General Motors for more than 30 years and was an active member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. He was also a longtime volunteer at the Society of St. Vincent dePaul. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Brady, on June 21, 2007. The couple married July 6, 1942 in Buffalo. He is survived by his children, Marte Thomas Welage-Bewick, John Susan Brady, Patricia Thomas Mervak, Robert Catherine Brady and Richard Brady. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one soon-to-be great grandchild. Brother of Jean Fauth and Joan Quinn. Visitation Tuesday 2-8 pm with a scripture service 7 pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. Funeral Wednesday, in-state 9:30 am until time of Mass, 10 am at the National Shrine of the Little Flower. Burial Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley.
