John Blaskowski

John F. Blaskowski of Richmond, Michigan passed away on July 11, 2013. Beloved husband of Jeanne, proud father to Michael, John Janis, Kevin Donna, Cheryl, Christopher Kelly. Beloved grandfather to Jason Michelle, Al Stacey, Craig Jamie, Lauren Matt, Jill Amber, David Stacy, Derek Jesi, Angela Chris, Christopher Allison, Joshia Mirianda, Nino and great grandfather to Olivia, Payton, Koston, Kasey, Wyatt, Addison, Haleigh, Andrew, Jacob, Avery, Brianna, Hannah, Ian, Mesliyn and Chestin. John was a proud Korean War veteran served on the USS Intrepid from 1953 to 1957 and raised his family while serving the City of Sterling Heights for 35 years as a foreman for the road department and water department. During his 23 years retired he enjoyed bowling, gardening, watching the Detroit Tigers, boating and fishing with his children, going to classic car shows, playing the lotto and having his favorite coney dog with a cold beer. John was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 57 years and the Lions Club of Sterling Heights and Tittabawassee Valley of Gladwin Michigan which he proudly served as President from 1993 thru 1995. Visitation will be held Sunday 1-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. 3 blks E. of Van Dyke Utica.
