John C Albright, of Shelby Twp. MI, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013. John was born to his parents, Jess and Mary Albright now deceased on 8-18-1940, in Shelby, Ohio.
Not being the best scholar in his one room school house, John decided to leave school and join the U.S. Air force, where he served as a radio operator for 8 years. His last place of duty was in Michigan, so he decided to stay and make our great state his new home. He continued to have delusions on which state had the better sports teams, but you know how it is when people get old, the mind starts to go, and we just let him have his way! ïA? After the military, he worked as a foreman in construction for about 20 years, until meeting the love of his life, Barbara, who he affectionately referred to as "Barbie" they were married in 1978. The two of them started their own Construction Company, and ran it successfully for over 30 years until John retired if that's what you want to call it! in 2008. Even in failing health, you would always find him at a family or friends house fixing or helping with something!!! John is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara, 2 sons, John Jr, and Jess, 2 daughter in-laws, Erin, and Katie, 2 step daughters, Dawn and Julie, an Aunt and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews who still reside in Ohio. But most importantly, the reason he smiled each and every day, was his 3 grandsons - Scotty, 7 - Joshua, 2 - and Henry, 1. BEST GRAMPA EVER!!!! We will miss him oh so deeply each day that goes by, but we have oh so many loving memories that will keep us smiling forever!
