Joan K. Trombley, age 77, a resident of Warren for the past 11 years, died May 11, 2010 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. She was born October 21, 1932 in Detroit. Ms. Trombley was an active member of St. Louise Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a volunteer. She also worked in Central Registration at St. John Hospital in Detroit and loved gardening. She is survived by her sons, Paul Trombley of Chicago, IL and Michael Trombley of Ann Arbor; siblings, Robert Patricia O'Rourke and Marion Michael Polinchak; and grandson, Ryan Trombley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Marion O'Rourke; and brother, the Rev. Fr. Carl O'Rourke. The visitation will be held Friday 2-9 p.m. with a 4 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Ms. Trombley will lie in state Saturday 10 a.m. until the time of Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Louise Catholic Church in Warren, with the Rev. Joseph Lang officiating.
