Jeffrey Lee Richards, age 53, a resident of Royal Oak for the past 33 years, formerly of Pleasant Ridge and Berkley, died November 28, 2011 at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak. He was born April 19, 1958 in Detroit. Mr. Richards attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Ferndale High School. He worked at Dixon & Ryan as a precision tool repairman for 33 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved the University of Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Richards; parents, Cecil and Norma Richards of Gladwin; aunt, Diane; siblings, Pam Monroe, Brad Kim Richards, Greg Denise Richards and Tim Lynn Richards; several nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and mother-in-law, Margaret Rossiter. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles Monroe; one nephew; and father-in-law, James Rossiter. The visitation will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Richards will lie in state Friday 12:30 p.m. until the time of Mass 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Paul Chateau officiating.
