Memorial services for Jeffery L. Plymesser, 53, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 4th at First Baptist Church in Newcastle with Dr. Michael C. Spencer officiating. Cremation services were entrusted to Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle.
Mr. Plymesser died unexpectedly Monday, July 30th in Newcastle, Wyoming.
Jeff was born December 5, 1953 at Dexter, Iowa the son of Ira and Betty L. Wehrli Plymesser, Jr. As a young man, Jeff earned Associates in Arts degree in Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in History and became a history teacher. He had also been employed as a supervisor for 16 years at Communication Data Service in Des Moines, IA. On Jun 22, 1980, he married Mamie Simmons in Newcastle, Wyoming. Following their marriage the couple lived in Newcastle for two years before moving to Des Moines until March, 2006 when they returned to Newcastle.
He was a member of the Iowa Draft Horse and Mule Association. His pastimes included hunting, fishing, reading, gardening, cooking and baking.
Surviving him are his wife Mamie Plymesser of Newcastle; his mother Betty Plymesser, sisters Jackie Plymesser, Julie Rod Nelson, Joy Art Prouty and Jennifer Steve Breeden and two nieces all of Des Moines, IA. Also surviving are father and mother-in-law Jack and Florence Dempsey of Newcastle and Elvin Bud Simmons of Buffalo, WY.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.
