Jeanne H. Cline, age 89, a resident of Royal Oak since 1933, died January 4, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born September 8, 1921 in Detroit. Mrs. Cline was a 1936 graduate of Royal Oak High School. She was employed at Montgomery Wards in Royal Oak, Dobie Jewelers and Meyers Jewelry Store. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak, where she was a Deacon, Elder and Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also active in the Youth Aiders Circle within the church. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jo David Ochs of Gold Canyon, AZ and Elizabeth Ann Kevin Gardiner of Royal Oak; son-in-law, Duane McKenzie of Grayling; siblings, Harold Galloway of St. Petersburg, FL, Dolores Oakes of Lawrenceville, GA and Eleanor Stec of Sun City, AZ; and grandchildren, Scott McKenzie, Jennifer McKenzie, Jason Ochs, Rachel Gardiner and Samantha Gardiner. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Cline, on January 20, 2010; and daughter, Beverley Jeanne McKenzie. Mrs. Cline will lie in state Saturday 10 a.m. until the time of service 12 noon at the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Rice officiating.
