Jeanne Barber

Jeanne M. Barber, age 89, a resident of Royal Oak, passed away December 5, 2013. She was born June 8, 1924 in Royal Oak Township. Beloved wife of the late Howard Barber Jr. Loving mother of Wayne Jean Barber, Juanita Jeffrey Long and Terry Ann Barber. Proud grandmother of Scott Shelley Barber, Lisa Bob England, Brian Barber and Ashley Barber. Dear great-grandmother of Lucas. Jeanne was a witty woman who enjoyed life and the laughter it offered. She was a foster parent to many children. When she was away from school, where she worked as a hall monitor, she was an avid Bingo player. Jeanne enjoyed playing many games, including board games, card games and Rummy. Above and beyond her love of traveling and her tender heart for dogs, was her great joy she found in her family. Many memories of time spent and laughter describe Jeanne's loving memory. She will be missed. Visitation Monday, December 9, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. A memorial gathering and burial of ashes will take place at a later date in the spring of 2014.
