Jean Chapaton

Jean Chapaton, age 90, a resident of Sterling Heights since 1933, passed away July 20, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Detroit, July 26, 1923 the daughter of James and Agnes DeClerck. Her neighbors called her "The Flower Lady" because of her love for flowers. Jean and her husband Oscar had many beautification awards and 2004 were awarded the "Best of the Best". The Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers were her favorite sports teams. She married Oscar Chapaton on July 4, 1946 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Utica by Msgr. Edward DeKeyser. They built their home in 1957 and have resided there ever since. Beloved wife of the late Oscar who preceded her in death on July 11, 2009. Loving mother of Maureen Dr. Patrick Rivard, Ann Wes Masters and Thomas Natalie Chapaton. Loving grandmother of Dr. Elisabeth Rivard, Jeffrey Rivard, Maggie Masters, Katie Chris Edwards, Mathieu and Clarice Chapaton. Funeral services have been held under the direction of Wm.
