Funeral services for Janice A. Gorsuch, 67, will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 17th at Worden Chapel with Rev. Mick Bohn of Newcastle Foursquare Church officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Fairburn Cemetery, Fairburn, South Dakota. The family has suggested memorial contributions may be given.
Mrs. Gorsuch died Friday, January 11th at the hospital in Torrington, Wyoming.
Janice was born July 24, 1940 in Lusk, Wyoming the daughter of Russell and Neva Endicott Bonsell. She graduated from Sturgis High School in Sturgis, South Dakota. She married Roy M Gorsuch November 16, 1958 at Sturgis. The couple moved to Newcastle where they made their home and daughter Tresa was born. Janice worked at various businesses before taking on the business accounts of Gorsuch Trucking.
The most important things in Janice's life were her family, especially her grandchildren. She became an avid gardener and loved sharing the produce with friends and family.
Survivors include her daughter Tresa Bandalos of Guernsey, Wyoming, her mother Neva Bonsell of Newcastle; two sisters, Connie Carlson of Cheyenne and Joann Egge of Newcastle; two brothers, Russell Bonsell of Spearfish, South Dakota and Douglas Bonsell of Ekalaka, Montana. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Cara and Jason Bandalos both of Guernsey, Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and her father.
