Jane Seymour

Jane Herley Seymour, age 89, a 36-year resident of Royal Oak and formerly a 25-year resident of Berkley, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Mrs. Seymour was a member of the Royal Oak Woman's Club, St. Mary Catholic Church and a former member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, John Donna Seymour of Laguna Niguel, CA, Richard Kathleen Seymour of Royal Oak, James Nancy Seymour of Deerfield, IL, Mary John Ruttan of Zapata, TX, Paul Seymour of Okemos and Mark Peggy Seymour of Mercer Island, WA; sister, Alice Earl O'Connor of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, Matt, Dan, Heather, Scott, Chris, Beth, Mary Ellen, Leslie, Jim, Jeff, Todd, Gary, Carol, Katie and Alexis; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bartholomew Seymour, in 1970. The couple were married November 16, 1940 in Detroit. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. In state Monday 9:30 a.m. until time of mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Royal Oak.
