James "Jimmy" Stevenson, age 51, of Azusa, CA, died September 30, 2013 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He was born May 7, 1962 in New York City, NY. Jimmy was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and an active member of AA. He acted in several movies including, Fun with Dick and Jane and O Brother, Where Art Thou? He was a 1981 graduate of Grosse Pointe South. He was a kind and gentle man and a lover of nature. Most of all, Jimmy was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Chitomi Stevenson; children, Jatomis, Joseph and Samuel Stevenson; mother, Sandra Thomas Krell; and siblings, Elizabeth Buchanan, Zip Stevenson, Star Stevenson, Scott Stevenson and Jerry Roach. There will be memorial visitation Friday 3-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service 11 a.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church in Southfield.
