Jacob Coy

Funeral services for Jacob Allen Coy, 14, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, September 6th at Crouch Auditorium with Rev. John Hopper of Christ The King Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Newcastle. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Worden Chapel. The family has asked that memorial contributions be given towards Christ the King Youth Ministries.
Jacob died Friday, August 31st at his home in Newcastle.
Jacob was born August 5, 1998 in Gillette, Wyoming the son of T.J. and Anna (Walford) Coy. He was an eighth grade student at Newcastle Middle School. Jacob always had a smile on his face and would light up the room when he entered. He had a sense of humor and inquisitive nature beyond his years, as many of his teachers would attest. He loved spending time with his family riding his dirt bike and 4 wheeler, prairie dog hunting and driving trough the Black Hills. Some of his favorite times were when he was surrounded by friends at their family ranches, and at football and track events. His infectious personality made everyone around him, peers and adults alike feel important. He loved to wrestle with his brother Drew; he looked up to his sister Courtney and loved to pick on little Grace, but loved all three of them with all of his heart. Jacob wukk be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him include parents T.J. and Anna (Walford) Coy, brother Drew, sisters Courtney and Grace; paternal grandparents Jim and Patti Coy, Randy; and Jane Rhoades; maternal grandparents Don and Sandy Walford; great grandparents Morgan Walford, Virginia Tate, Helen and Roy Kaiser; uncles Jayson (Terri) Walford and Seth (Kristine) Rhoades; aunts Becky Coy, Tiffany (Greg) Golka, Keeara (Brian) Rhoades; cousins Morgan, Wyatt and Regan Walford, Josie Addie and Sophia Golka and Tyler Rhoades.
