Hurley Shellnut

Hurley J. Shellnut, age 85, of Royal Oak, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010. He was born January 13, 1925 in Sheridan, AR. He was a retired bricklayer and member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union, Local 1. Hurley was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the 7th Air Force Squadron 398th Bomb Group. He is survived by his sons, Danny Debbie Shellnut and Michael Pam Shellnut; daughter, Carolyn Shellnut; and stepchildren, Bill and Jack Sokoll. Hurley had 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The visitation will be Thursday, August 5th, from 5-8 p.m. and the service Friday, August 6th, at 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
