Howard PhD

Howard A. Ward, PhD, age 88, of Royal Oak, died June 22, 2008 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born April 13, 1920 in Armada. Dr. Ward was was the Professor and Dean of the evening college of business administration at the University of Detroit. He graduated with a BS degree from Central Michigan University, MA degree from Wayne State University, PhD from St. Louis University and JD from the University of Detroit. Dr. Ward served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a 1st Lieutenant in the South Pacific and also served in the Korean War. Dr. Ward is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, William Ward, Mary Ann Ward and Patrick Ward; grandchildren, Jason, Patrick and Katie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Ward.
