Herbert Walby

Herbert Louis Walby, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012. Herb married June Ann Olson and they lived in Royal Oak all the days of their 55-year marriage. He was the owner of Walby's Paint and Wallpaper in downtown Royal Oak for many years. His wife, June, preceded him in death; but they leave their children, Jeff Sharon, Joann Potts, Connie, Ken, Andy Linda, Bill, Karen Paul Whitman and Diane Brian Baranski; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He was the dear brother of Mary Marcella the late Richard Fox and Donald Lorraine Walby, and the late Norman Walby, Rita Ed Butke, Angela DeBusscher and Richard Lorraine Walby. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Lorraine Walby and brother-in-law, John DeBusscher. The family will celebrate his life at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with visitation, Sunday, April 1st from 2-9 p.m. followed by a Mass at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak on Monday at 10 a.m. The world is surely the lesser for our loss.
