Herbert Tompkins

TOMPKINS, Herbert A. Age 80. September 11, 2007. Mr. Tompkins retired from the Hare Cartage Company of Detroit in 1991 after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 299 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific aboard the LST. He was predeceased by siblings, Vivian Joslyn, Robert Tompkins, Grace Glasgow, Gerald Tompkins and Ruth Cinnamon; surviving are siblings, Mary Joslyn of Troy, Jack Tompkins of Royal Oak, Doris Houghton of Birch Run, Eileen Smith of Mesa, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
