He served in the United States Navy and and retired as a Welder Inspector. Beloved husband for 63 years to Shirley nee Funke. Loving father of Janet the late Harold Leopold, Paul Lisa Burmeister, and Glenn Laura Burmeister. Proud Grandfather of Lisa, Brian, Christina, Glenn Willie, Rachel, Nicholas, and Troy. Great Grandfather of Brandon and Hunter. Loving brother of Eileen Funke and the late Doris Sherman.
