Henrietta Newman

NEWMAN, Henrietta. age 90. Died February 23, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Frank E. Loving mother of Gloria Jean Larry Slimak. Proud grandmother of Scott Linda Slimak and Mark Kristi Slimak. Great Grandmother of Michella, Jacob, Samantha, Brody, Joshua and Vaun. Dearest sister of Teresa Kartzer and Emma Pail. Henrietta was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for over 40 years. In that time she was active with the Altar Society, the Legion of Mary, she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Sacristan. Her family said she enjoyed needlepoint; making quilts and especially loved to travel and was very fond of her trip to Austria. Mrs. Newman was predeceased by her siblings: Hilda, Mary and Louis. In state Saturday 9:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd., 3 blks. E. of Van Dyke Utica on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Altar Society Rosary 3 p.m. and Scripture Service 7:00 p.m on Friday.
