Helen Jones

Helen Lillian Jones, age 88, a resident of Royal Oak, died October 6, 2010 at her home. She was born May 5, 1922 in Highland Park. Mrs. Jones was a life member of Eastern Star - Masonic Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Alden Niemi of Shelby Township, Donna Russell Wilton of Clinton Township and Wendy Ronald Walko of Mattawan; grandchildren, Tamara Kenneth Daniels, Kristen Thomas Seaman Niemi, Todd Wright, Sarah Niemi, Nathalie Demers, Jessica Eric Anderson and Lyndsay Walko; and great grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Luke and Nate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones, on December 7, 2006; parents, Joseph Pichner and Ida Wilke; and sister, Dorothy Burkhardt. The visitation will be Sunday 1-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Jones will lie in state Monday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 814 N. Campbell Road, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Thomas Scherger officiating. The burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy. Memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or William Beaumont Hospice appreciated.
