Helen Hoffmeyer

Helen Jessie Hoffmeyer, age 97, a resident of Highland Beach, FL since 1970, formerly a longtime resident of Royal Oak, died February 20, 2010 at ManorCare Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL. She was born June 11, 1912 in Syracuse, NY. Mrs. Hoffmeyer was active in Huntington Woods Lutheran Church when she lived in Royal Oak. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Patty Hoffmeyer of Royal Oak and Carol Larry Powers of Delray Beach, FL; sister, Ann Hacker; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Hoffmeyer, on August 14, 1992; the couple married March 29, 1932 in Detroit; and her parents, Paul and Anna Domako. The service will be Thursday 1 p.m. at the Glen Eden Cemetery Chapel in Livonia, with the Rev. Edward Aller officiating.
