GROEN, Helen Poniatowski age 100, died August 21, 2013 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She was born April 30, 1913 in Detroit, Michigan. She worked in sales for Hudson Department Store. Beloved wife of the late Alfred A. Dear mother of Margaret Bernard Billings, Celeste Donald Power and Jeanette Groen. Loving grandmother of Bill, Diana, Thad, Chuck, Matt, Don, Debbie, Dawn, Tracy, Kelly, Nick, and the late Kimberly. Great grandmother of Devin, Annabel, Chloe, Aiden, Jacob, Connor, Kaleigh, Logan, Andrew, Tyler, Chase, Alyssa, McKenna, Caleb, Nick Jr., Angela, Landon, Joshua and Braeden. Visitation Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of Van Dyke, Utica. Mrs. Groen will lie in state Saturday at 11:30 am until time of funeral mass at 12 Noon at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 48115 Schoenherr between 21 & 22, Shelby Twp.
