Helen Blaszczyk

BLASZCZYK, HELEN nee Kupiec age 86, June 28, 2009 of Sterling Heights. Beloved wife of Leon. Dear mother of Susan Dennis Walkowiak, Janice Blaszczyk, Carol Patrick Domagalski, Mary Scott Schellpfeffer. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth, Emily and Peter Walkowiak, Alexander and Drew Domagalski, Sara, Elise and Julia Schellpfeffer. Daughter of the late Walter and Helen Pudlak Kupiec. Sister of the late Matthew and Chester Kupiec. Helen was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Marlette during the depression. She graduated in 1941 from Marlette High School and returned to Detroit where she worked for Briggs until she was married to Leon on May 30, 1953. After moving to the Sterling Heighta area, she worked for 20 years for the City of Sterling Heights - City Clerks Office where she retired in 1987. She was a long time member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Utica. Friends may call at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd., Utica from 6-9PM Wednesday and 2-9PM Thursday. Scripture Service 7PM Thursday. She will lie in state on Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Rd., Utica from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM time of Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
