Wernecke, Heinz C., age 90, a resident of Southfield, was called to Heaven on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Cambridge South Healthcare Center in Beverly Hills. He was born October 8, 1922 in Germany. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 68 years of faithful marriage; loving father of Robert, Ann, Tom and Reverend John Wernecke; dear brother of George; proud grandfather of Robin Krause, Rebecca Bouchard, Sarah Wernecke, Jessica Wernecke, Adam Wernecke, Andrew Wernecke and the late Joshua Wernecke; and great-grandfather of Zane Bouchard, Noah Bouchard, Kaden Bouchard, Gabe Wernecke, Josh Wernecke, Martigan Wernecke, Alexandria Krause and Pepper-Sue Wernecke. Memorial visitation Friday, August 23, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 1100 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302.
