Hedwiges Ternes

Hedwiges Marie Ternes nee Reygaert, age 97, of Shelby Twp. passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013. She volunteered for over 25 years at the Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center and was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police - Lodge 142. She was a very hard working person and retired in 1972 from her family's vegetable farm. She was widowed at the age of 49 years and raised six children alone. She was very proud and independent and always there for her children. She had devoted deep faith - ALWAYS - said her rosary nightly. She is the beloved wife of the late John Ternes Sr. Dear mother of: Arlene Gerald DeGrace of Shelby Township, MI; John Shirley Ternes of Ray Township, MI; Thomas Yvonne Ternes of Riley, MI; James Patricia Ternes of Ray, MI: Ronald Christine Ternes of Harrison Township, MI; Robert Lisa Ternes of Shelby Township, MI; and Denise McFarland of Shelby Township, MI. Funeral Mass Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Rd., Utica where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. time of Mass. Interment St. Lawrence Cemetery.
