Mr. Borgialli died Wednesday, May 3rd at Weston County Health Services in Newcastle following a brief illness.
Harry was born on January 8th, 1937 on the family ranch southwest of Newcastle, the son of Charley and Ruth Borgialli.
He grew up on his family?s ranch. He was educated at rural grade schools, and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1955.
On January 29th, 1960, Harry married Joan Steuble. Since then, they have made their home on, and worked the ranch. He also had a 30 year career as a pumper with Thorson Oil Company.
Harry and Joan brought four children into the world. Vicki Bill Hayman and their sons Matt and Andrew, Lana Mel Love and their son CJ and daughter Jennifer, Barry Marty Borgialli and their daughter Kayla and sons Garrett and Ty, and Todd Michelle Borgialli and their daughter Tyler. He always claimed his grandchildren were his therapy.
Harry is also survived by his mother Ruth, brothers Tom Mary Borgialli and Bob Borgialli, and his sisters Hazel Johnson and Dorothy Joe Bartlett. He was proceeded in death by his father Charley, and his brother Bill.
During high school, Harry was very active in sports. He participated in football, wrestling, and track, lettering in each sport each of the 3 years he participated. Harry was active in FFA during high school, and was recognized as an honorary FFA chapter member in Newcastle. Other interests included a lifetime membership to the American Herford Association, American Paint Horse Association, American Angus Association, and holding a position as a board member on the Inyan Kara Grazing Association. He also enjoyed rodeos, stemming from his bareback riding days earlier in life.
He was strongly devoted to his family and his ranch. Harry was a very hard working man who loved the land. He performed every task, no matter how big or small, with a sense of pride in doing a job well done.
