Gweneth A. Walker, 84, a life-long resident of Royal Oak, died Monday, October 13, 2008, at her son's home. She was born April 27, 1924, in Royal Oak. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Royal Oak Dolls and Friends Club and sold her dolls at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market for 22 years. She volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Society for 10 years and raised a great deal of monies through their annual sale of fine jewelry and other items. She is survived by her children, Gayle Wally Scahill of Chicago, IL, Teri Norbert Herbert of Oakland Township, Dave Carol Walker of Sterling Heights and Kevin Nicole Walker of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Tiffany Walker, Kandyce Weiland, Tami Paul Zeniewicz, Michelle C.J. King, Ryan Walker, Patrick Scahill, Rebecca Scahill, Dustin Walker, Dylan Walker and Julia Walker; great-grandchildren, Joseph Brown and Kaylee Weiland; and sister, Donna Corner of Buena Park, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Walker; son, Craig Walker; and siblings, Maxine "Mickie" Gannon and Fern Beyette. Visitation Thursday 2-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. In state Friday 9:30 a.m. until time of mass at 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak.
