Gordon G. Gore, age 96, a resident of Royal Oak, died September 11, 2011 at his home. He was born June 26, 1915 in Pembroke, Ottawa, Canada to the late Charles and Nellie. Mr. Gore was a lifelong member of the International Pattern Makers Union. He was a 15-year volunteer Royal Oak police officer. He also initiated the train track at Star Park in Royal Oak. Beloved husband of the late Mary Lee. Dear father of Linda Marshall and the late Lana. Dearest friend of Charlotte Omiatek. Uncle of Sharon Al Wietecha. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. The visitation will be Thursday 2-8 pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Gore will lie in state Friday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the Royal Oak Church of Christ, with Mr. Clifford Tucker officiating.
