Gladys Hallyburton

Gladys Jean Hallyburton, age 85, a resident of Glen Burnie, MD, formerly of Hazel Park, died August 31, 2012 in Glen Burnie. She was born July 10, 1927 in White Oak, MO to the late Clarence and Hettie Glover. Ms. Hallyburton worked at Chrysler during World War II. She joined the U.S. Army for four years WAC and lived in Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina and Michigan. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She is survived by her sons, Jeff Jenny Hallyburton of Glen Burnie and Tim Hallyburton of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Mavis Doyle Travillian and James Warren; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ann Durham, in 1957; and four siblings. The visitation will be Saturday 3-8 p.m. and service Sunday 1 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Dale Hunter officiating. Private burial at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
