Georgia Japp

July 9, 1942 — March 22, 2021

Our beautiful Mom, Georgia Evelyn Japp, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021. Mom fought a courageous fight against cancer for the past 10 months, she passed away at her home surrounded by her family.

Georgia was born July 9, 1942 in Sundance, Wyoming to C.K. “Smokey” Japp and Wilma L. (Trail) Japp.

Georgia graduated high school “most likely to succeed” from Newcastle High School in 1960. She received a full scholarship to the University of Wyoming for nursing upon graduation.

Georgia went on to obtain three more degrees from the University of Wyoming in Accounting, Criminology, and Sociology. After retiring from being a counselor at the women’s prison, Mom became restless and became a school bus driver in Newcastle. She said it was her favorite job, and she adored all “her” kids.

Georgia was blessed with her four children Marla, Suzy, Dottie and David. They were the “true” loves of her life. Georgia never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. Georgia loved to travel and lived all over the United States, her favorite being Homer, Alaska.

Georgia was an artist at heart and loved to paint. She blessed many of her family and friends with her paintings which came from the heart. Georgia was a jack of many trades and wasn’t afraid to try anything new. She was a fantastic cook and baker. Georgia loved all animals, big or small, especially her beloved dogs.

There will forever be an empty place in the hearts of all who loved her.

Georgia is survived by her daughters Jonna “Suzy” (Don) Pzinski-Blakesley, Dottie (Neil) Wood and son David Servinski. Her brother Kenneth Japp. 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and her special friend Charlie Julius.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Marla Pzinski-Urban.
