Georgia Fisher passed on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, at her home in Newcastle, WY.
Georgia was born in Chicago, IL on September 8th, 1935, and grew up in Winnetka, IL. Her parents were Fred and Mildred Fisher.
She went to Roycemore School in Evanston, IL, and University of Colorado in Boulder. At CU Boulder she met her beloved husband Garth Campbell Fisher, and they were married in 1956.
Together they lived in Elgin, IL and Long Lake, MN with their two sons, Reynolds, and Aldrich (Ace).
In 1990, they retired at Red Rock Ranch in Newcastle, WY, which was a dream come true. Georgia and Garth could ride their horses and enjoy the beauty of the ranch. Georgia’s lifelong passion was horseback riding, she competed at some of the highest levels of riding in Eventing, Open Jumping and Hunter Jumper. She was an avid fox hunter and enjoyed her long trail rides on her ranch.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ace Fisher and Judith Danioth-Fisher. Her daughter-in-law Jennifer Fisher and her four grandchildren, Octavia & Danielle Fisher, Preston & Chase Fisher
She is predeceased by her husband Garth and her son Reynolds.
The family will hold a small private memorial.
