George Reichenbach

George John Reichenbach, age 89, a resident of Royal Oak since 1956, passed away peacefully February 28, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 9, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan. George worked as a salesperson, selling both insurance and real estate, during his working life. He loved his family, playing golf, and was a long time member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Church in Royal Oak. He was the beloved husband of Joan M. Guzak; the couple married November 14, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan; loving father of Robert Reichenbach and Marilyn Reichenbach; son of the late George and Ada Reichenbach. The visitation will be Sunday 4:30-8 p.m. and Monday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. George will lie in state Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Fr. Patrick Gonyeau officiating.
