Frank Michael Remeika, age 95, a former resident of Royal Oak and Clinton Twp., MI, died September 1, 2013, in Lecanto, FL. He was born July 14, 1918, in Scottville, MI, to the late John Remeika and Sophie Remeika Evanauski. Mr. Remeika was a chauffeur for Chrysler Corporation before retiring in 1980. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, which he joined in 1958. He loved travelling, but most of all he loved his family, routinely driving to distant locations for family outings and events. He was the beloved husband of Betty Phillips Remeika, whom he married on October 18, 1952; loving father of Frances Remeika Smith, married to Robert Smith; grandfather of the late Kristi Smith; dear brother of the late Peter David Remeika and John Paul Remeika, Jr.; step-son of the late Anton Evanauski; and step-brother of the late Nellie Evanauski Driza and John Evanauski. He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Frances, and half-sister Sophie Evanauski Papes. Frank also is survived by numerous family and friends from all over the country who loved him very much and will miss him greatly. The visitation will be Saturday 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., with a scripture service at 2 p.m. immediately followed by a Knights of Columbus chalice service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Procession immediately following services to burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Oakland County, MI.
