Forest Llewellyn

Forest L. Llewellyn, age 94 passed away on April 16, 2012 in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. He was born May 4, 1917 in Detroit. He grew up and was a resident of Berkley and Royal Oak for 60 years. He served with the U.S. Army in WWII receiving two purple hearts and Bronze Stars. He was in the Infantry in the Phillipines and Indonesia. He married Thelda nee Davidson on February 8, 1947. He is survived by his children, Norwood Hiroko Hamilton of Chesterfield, Kevin Janet Llewellyn of Farmington Hills, Sandy Jerry Boggia of Macomb, daughters-in-law, Mary Hamilton and Deborah Locke. Loving grandfather of Julie Ed Valentage, Kathy Brian Vanderhorst, Debra Smith, Keith Dhez Hamilton, Jackie Chuck Dortenzio, Melissa Randy Brunnemer, Holly Llewellyn, Andrew Llewellyn, Thomas Kristy Llewellyn, Michael Llewellyn, and Kevin David Llewellyn. 17 great grandchildlren and many great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Thelda in 2005, his sons, Ronald G. Hamilton, Michael F. Llewellyn and Jack Hamilton.. siblings, John, Tim, Arthur, Elmer, Geroge, Fay Foy, Mary Christensan and Bernadette Llewellyn. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. 3 blks E. of Van Dyke Utica. Services Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend William C. Lawrence officiating.
