Erwin Franek

Erwin Anton Franek, 82, of Royal Oak, died March 27, 2008, at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. He was born April 22, 1925, in Detroit. Mr. Franek graduated from the Technical Institute of Technology and attended the University of Detroit. He retired from the National Bank of Detroit where he was an auditor/banker. After retirement he became an ever loving guardian of school children at Oakland Elementary School. Mr. Franek loved the children, parents and teachers alike. He was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak. Mr. Franek is survived by his siblings, Norma Franek of Royal Oak and Tony Ursula Franek of Bloomfield; nieces, Maria Frank Angileri and Barbara Todd Peters; and great nieces and nephews, John, Sammy and Ben Angileri and Will and Matty Peters.
