TURNER Jr., Ernest Earl. age 69. April 11, 2007. Beloved husband of Jeanne M. nee Muller. Loving father of Larry Lisa Turner, Doug Louise Turner, Tom Jenny Turner, Chris Wendy Schwartz, Brian Shawn Schwartz, Dawn Mead, Joy Tim Dunaway, and Katie Turner. Proud grandfather of Amy, Samantha, Natasha, Adam, Melissa, Ben, Katie, Kaleb, Joshua, Taylor, Shelby, Lauren, Eric, Matt, Rachel, Amber, Alex, Jack, Sam, and Leah. Preceeded in death by daughter Dawn Turner and granddaughter Jaclyn. Loving brother of Nan Bill Willis. Mr. Turner was born in Kendallville, Indiana. He retired in 1993 from General Motors, Inc. after 33 years of service and was a member of Local UAW #909. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant E8. Mr. Turner was a member of the American Legion Post #004-St. Heights. He was employed for 11 years at Chippewa Valley Schools as a bus driver. Mr. Turner was a member of St. Lawerence Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #2950-Sterling Heights, where he was a 3rd degree knight. He supported many different organizations such as delivering Meals on Wheels, the MCREST Program for the homeless, Knights of Columbus, St. Lawrence Apple Festival, and construction of the playground for the St. Lawrence School. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday from 2:00pm-8:00pm with a Knights of Columbus Rosary on Sunday 7:00pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of VanDyke on the northside of Hall Road Utica. He will lie in state at 9:00am until time of funeral mass at 10:00am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica.
