Elizabeth Sage, age 70, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, passed away October 12, 2011 after battling ovarian cancer. She was born August 9, 1941 in Detroit to the late Tom and Dorothy Valade. Liz was not only devoted to her family, she was also very involved in her community through various organizations and was always the first to jump in and help. She was employed as a media specialist at Dondero High School for more than 20 years. The world will not be the same without this loving, kind woman and she will be greatly missed by all. Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin "Skip" Sage; and son, Geoffrey Sage. She is survived by her son, Bill Anne Barrows Sage; daughter, Stacey David Wisley; daughter-in-law, Carla Ferraccioli; sister-in-law, Kathy David Wilkenson; grandchildren, Jaiden, Aiyana, Samantha and Beila; her beloved dog, Emma; and many special lifelong friends. There will be a memorial visitation on Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. A memorial service will be held Thursday 4 p.m. at St. John?s Episcopal Church in Royal Oak.
