Elizabeth Beres

Elizabeth J. Beres, age 87, a resident of Royal Oak, died November 8, 2010 at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. She was born March 28, 1923 in Ehrenfeld, PA. Mrs. Beres retired from Foamade Industries in Auburn Hills. She was a devout member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Beres; the couple married May 30, 1942 in Mineral Point, PA; children, Martin Janith Beres of Clinton Township and Barbara Daniel of Rochester Hills; sister, Margaret Beroldi of Seminole, FL; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Beres; parents, Andrew and Mary Kacian Gabany; brothers, Joseph, Steve, Andrew, Frank, Albert and Michael Gabany; and sisters, Katherine Bowen and Anna Schmidt. The visitation will be Thursday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Beres will lie in state Friday 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 11 a.m. at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. John Christ officiating.
