Elizabeth Behrendt

Elizabeth C. Behrendt, age 92, of Royal Oak, died April 13, 2009 at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy. She was born January 7, 1917 in Stirlingshire, Scotland. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mary Patrick Sweet Rooney, Judy Sweet Bedrava, Christina Ray Sweet Bendig, Susan Jack Fox, Dempsey Sue Bell, Donald Bell, Janet Bell Howerter and Stephen Bell; and 28 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Behrendt, on January 16, 1985; sisters, Mary C. Sweet and Janet C. Bell; and nephew, Thomas Sweet. Visitation will be held Thursday 4-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Behrendt will lie in state at 10 a.m. until the time of mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. John Christ officiating. The burial will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
