Elenora Novotny, age 90, of Sterling Heights, formerly of Royal Oak, died April 6, 2009 at her home. She was born July 24, 1918 in Beaver Township, MI. Mrs. Novotny was a Royal Oak resident from 1939-2008. She retired from Farmer Jack's after 25 years of service. She loved gardening and keeping her house immaculate. She also enjoyed traveling with the Royal Oak senior citizens. She is survived by her children, Geraldine A. Garela of Warren, Daniel A. Maureen Novotny of Fayetteville, NY and Linda L. Myers of Sterling Heights; siblings, Irene Wegener of Midland, Alma Roth of Auburn, Agnes Wisenauer of Muskegon and Alfred Sauer of Beaver Township; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel P. Novotny. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Novotny will lie in state Thursday 1:30 p.m. until the time of service 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Jeremy Schultz officiating.
