Elaine Jones

JONES, ELAINE MURIEL age 83, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of Rudolph Bob for 55 cherished years. She was born on Apr. 27, 1924, delivered by her grandfather , Dr. Edward Sohlden in Calumet, MI. She graduated from Calumet High School. She was the daughter of Verdi and Wilhelmina Sohlden and was pre-deceased by a sister and 3 brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Rita Paul Tervo of Sterling Hgts., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to her step-grandaughter June Lothamer of Sterling Hgts. for her comforting care during the past year. Friends may call at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. 3 blks. E. of Van Dyke Utica from 3-9PM Tuesday. Mrs. Jones will lie in state at Christ Lutheran Church, 12500 Canal Rd., Sterling Hgts. on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM time of Service. Elaine was a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church and was very active in early church years in the women's organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christ Lutheran Church Organ Fund would be appreciated since music was an important of her life.
