Edward Newton Schiappacasse, age 64, a resident of Royal Oak, died January 19, 2013 at his home. He was born July 4, 1948 in Detroit to Jane Elizabeth nee Henson and the late Louis Joseph Schiappacasse, Jr. Mr. Schiappacasse worked for 39 years at Comerica Bank in record keeping and accounting. He was a member of the K of C Monaghan Council 2690, St. John's Deaf Center and St. Columban Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Cooley High School and attended Plainview. He was a champion of the Michigan Lip Reading Competition. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading, puzzle games and sports. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his mother; siblings, Louis Joseph Schiappacasse III and Judy Rose Richard Wilson; niece and nephews, Anne Sherwood, Peter Calloway, Ryan Calloway and Noah Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father; siblings, Joseph Anthony Schiappacasse and Mary Helene Schiappacasse, RSM; niece, Rosella Schiappacasse; and nephew, Anthony Schiappacasse. There will be visitation Tuesday 4-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. K of C rosary and Wednesday 1-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Schiappacasse will lie in state Thursday 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 11 a.m. at St. Columban Catholic Church in Birmingham, with the Rev.
