Edward R. Levy, 66, of Royal Oak, formerly of Phoenix, AZ and Clearwater, FL, died April 1, 2008 at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1941 in Detroit. Mr. Levy was an Eagle Scout; a 1959 graduate of Dearborn High School; and he received a BS from Oakland University. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, Levy was a "Pathfinder" during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post 374 in Berkley, MI. Levy was a design engineer for Ford Motor Co. and worked on the Taurus prototype. He had most recently been a bus driver for the Birmingham School District. Mr. Levy is survived by his wife, Laurie C. Scarpace Levy; children, Gordon Dorie Levy of Maricopa, AZ, Lisa Chris Jensen of Galveston, TX, Ryan Christa Levy of Phoenix, AZ and Morgan David Francis of Phoenix, AZ; mother, Margaret Mandeville of Clearwater, FL; sister, Joanne Golder of Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward R. Levy died 1981.
