Edward Ellis

Edward Dale Ellis, age 95, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, died February 26, 2012 at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak. He was born September 20, 1916 in Detroit to the late Francis and Kathryn Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a proud family man with a love of genealogy. He was a longtime member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Clawson and a very proud World War II U.S. Marine veteran. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen A. Hartman Ellis; dear father of Michael E. Anita, John F. Sharon, Timothy D. Helen and Thomas J. Ellis; grandfather of 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. There will be a memorial visitation Thursday 9 a.m. until the time of memorial service 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Harry T. Cook and Rev. Paul Hiyama officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
